Spent a day on Oct 18, 2010 at the Shanghai Expo. Was a tiring day to walk, queue, take photos. Total visitors on the day was around 630,000. 2 days before on Oct 16, Saturday was a record 1.03million. Managed to visit Turkey, Czech, Denmark, New Zealand, Africa, Oceanic, Jordan, China provinces Pavillions. I hate queueing, which is why I skipped the most popular pavillions like China, Saudi, Italy, Spain, UK, France which will take around 4hours to queue. Golden Snub-nosed Monkey 金丝猴

The Golden Snub-nosed Monkey is an Old World monkey in the Colobinae subfamily. It is endemic to a small area in temperate, mountainous forests of central China, primarily around the Sichuan basin. The Chinese name is Sichuan Golden Hair Monkey (川金丝猴). Snow occurs frequently within its range and it can withstand colder average temperatures than any other non-human primates. Its diet varies markedly with the seasons, but it is primarily an herbivore with lichens being its main food source. It is diurnal and largely arboreal, spending some 97% of their time in the canopy. Population estimates range from 8,000 to 15,000 and it is threatened by habitat loss.

It is the 2nd most protected animal, after Giant Panda in China. The photos were taken in Shanghai Zoo.
